Abstract

The article discusses approaches to the disposal of municipal solid waste in the world and the EU. It was determined that the priority for Ukraine is to use the energy potential of municipal solid waste for the production of thermal energy for the needs of the population, which will help to replace the appropriate amount of natural gas. There is a concept introduced to implement MSW at CHP in Ukrainian cities with different amount of population.
