Thermophysics and Thermal Power Engineering

The journal "Thermophysics and Thermal Power Engineering" (ISSN 2263-7235) was founded by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Institute of Technical Thermophysics (Media ID R30-02806) has been published continuously for over 40 years (the first issue was published in 1979) intended for a wide range of readers (scientists, specialists) in the field of thermophysics, thermal power engineering, heat engineering, measurement, control and automation of thermal processes.

Until 2019, the journal was called "Industrial Heat Engineering " and was published in six issues a year. Since 2018, the magazine is published quarterly, with a circulation of 150-250 copies, a volume of 90-110 printed sheets

The journal is included in the "List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine" within the cluster "Safe, Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency" in the specialty G4 "Energy Production" (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 11.06.2026 No. 928). The journal is indexed in scientometric databases and catalogs: Google Scholar, Index Copernicus (since 2020), V.I. Vernadsky National Library. The journal is also included in the Targeted Comprehensive Program of the NAS of Ukraine "Transformation of the Scientific and Publishing Complex of the NAS of Ukraine in Conditions of War and Post-War Changes in the Context of the Implementation of European Open Science Initiatives."

In the 2000s, the English-language magazine was republished in the United States by Beggel House Inc. (New York, Madison Avenue, 145) called "Industrial Heat Engineering" and was distributed in the United States.

Google inc. were digitized the issues of the magazine from the very first one, which was published in 1979, and as a result, electronic versions of all articles published in the magazine were made available on the Google-Scholar website. Articles of issues of the last decade are on a separate journal site www.ihe.nas.gov.ua, already with international digital identifiers DOI.

The journal is abstracted in the abstract database "Ukrainika Naukova" (abstract journal "Dzherelo"), indexed in electronic catalogs, repositories, scientometric databases, including Index Copernicus, Crossref, Google Scholar, etc., is included in the "Journal Support Program of the NAS of Ukraine" of the Target Comprehensive Program "Creation and development of research and production complex of the NAS of Ukraine".

Articles published in the journal are reviewed (double, "blind") by leading experts in the relevant fields, as well as scientific and technical editing by editorial staff.
